Second practical semester. Debugged DB2 stored procedures in C. Ported an XQuery engine from Java to C++. Planned, designed and implemented an XML importer for Content Manager in Java. Extended components for federated search in the DB2 Information Integrator.

Provided complete IT services for a network of ten users as a part-time job. Migrated from Novell/Win95 to Unix/Windows NT. Set up mail- and web-server. Redesigned the web site. Purchased hard- and software. Provided end-user support.

First practical semester. Maintained web site and prepared its English section. Designed and programmed a client-server system to simplify the administration of the computer inventory. Implemented the client in Java with JFC/Swing. Realized the access to an Oracle database using JDBC.

Community service - in lieu of military service - at a non-profit charity organization. Delivered mail. Supported PC users, including a blind colleague with the use of a Braille. Co-developed an MS Access database.
